More About Me
I am a medical doctor who qualified at the now, Nelson Mandela School of Medicine (MB ChB from the University of Natal Medical School) which is situated in the city of Durban in the Republic of South Africa. I spent two years as a medical officer in the public health sector (in Port Elizabeth), almost ten years as a private practitioner in my own medical practice in Cape Town and also worked abroad for a while (in the Republic of Ireland and on cruise ships in the Caribbean). I also hold a post-graduate qualification in Business Administration (University of Cape Town's Graduate school of Business). In addition I hold a certificate of completion in EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), a discipline of energy psychology which is highly effective in healing both physical and emotional disorders and in enhancing performance.
My professional registrations / memberships include the Health Professions Council of South Africa and the South African Medical Association. I also hold, and have previously held, membership of a number of other organizations.
My developed abilities include good problem solving, analytical, numerical and interpersonal skills. In addition I also have good clinical skills, public speaking skills, communicate well and enjoy working with and motivating people.
I also have a wide range of work interests of which the following are a few: The Subconscious Mind and Mind Programming, Leadership, Organizational Behaviour, Corporate Culture, the Application of Neuroscience in the Healthcare and Business environments, Brain Fitness and the development of Innovative Economic and Financial Systems.
My career history spans across the both the private and public healthcare sectors, the business sector and both local and international locations. I worked as a medical officer for two years in the public health sector and more than twelve years as a private medical practitioner both in my own practice in South Africa (mostly) and in the Republic of Ireland. In addition my work life also includes experience as a cruise ship' doctor and an emergency unit doctor.
